No hay conservadores/There are no conservatives
Yo me llamaría restaurador.
There are no conservatives. ¡Who should we blame! We received not a burning flame, but memorial ashes. In this world, there is not one conservative alive since there is nothing to conserve. There are only the miserable and the alienated, confused by nationless ashes that slip through desperate and frenetic fingering as an emasculated digit that searches tragically for the ringlet of a lady that is no more. What we call tradition is but memory – the present snatched for philosophical debris. The ruins of Rome lie under the earth, as its dead, its heroes, and the last conservative. He who calls himself a conservative, ¡inhume yourself with the object of your nostalgia before you fall unto death by sinister revelation! Conservatives are nameless men, without lands, without flags, and without history. Conserving can only be done in the oneiric – in an exciting fantasy from yesterday that concludes when the first glint irrupts violently the dormant iris. There is no naked to clothe, no hungry to nurture, and no thirsty to satiate that may untie the knot ascribed to God. God is dead as the conservative is. The conservative is a fatherless child who, even if guided by the last compass that points north, would not recognize the vestiges of his father. Indeed, he lives a sorrowful and nostalgic life to the point that he would guard an ignote Eden, the arc without bestowal. Calling myself a conservative would be naming myself nobody. One is only a conservative between the Gregorian hymns, the bread, Peter, and the wine. I would call myself a restorer. I am the most wretched creature of all, longing that which is not anymore and the day where the Divine breaths something out of nothing, today from yesterday. I await the exhumation of the sacred and the suffocating sarcophagus for today’s pillars. He who dares to call me a reactionary ¡bite your tongue! I will conserve the New World, its pillars and pedestals, its idols and pages, its gold and silver. In Promethean effort, I will prepare an never-ending inferno that ignites the bradychardic hearts of these men.
